Scope of employment in various organizations:

Civil engineers do have job opportunities in the state and central government departments, private and public sector industries, research and teaching institutions, military, the railways etc. They have other newly arising placement opportunities also. Civil engineers will always be needed to maintain and repair existing facilities and structures and to construct new ones. After graduation, one can look for jobs in road projects, building works, consultancy firms, and quality testing laboratories. Also one can open his own independent consultancy services. We aim at a fundamental understanding of the systems, structures and materials underpinning civil engineering and apply this to the solution of important engineering problems.
